An above-ground saltwater pool was donated to three-year-old Mick Augustitus, the Ashley Lauren Foundation said in a Facebook post. The Hazlet toddler was diagnosed with four brain tumors and several tumors on his spine.

At Home Recreation donated the pool, while Kiki Pools in South Amboy donated a heater and installed the pool.

"Not only did Mick come home from stem-cell transplant last Friday [May 17], but his pool was done the same day he came home," the Ashley Lauren Foundation said. "What a great day to ring the bell AND come home to a brand new 💦pool💦!

"We hope you make lots of fun, wonderful memories with your entire family. We love you Mick and family! 💙"

A GoFundMe page was set up in February to help Mick's parents with medical costs and other household bills during Mick's cancer treatments. The campaign had raised more than $38,000 from at least 365 donations as of Thursday, May 30.

Founded in 2005, the Ashley Lauren Foundation provides relief to families battling pediatric cancer. The charity in Brielle was named after founder Monica Vermeulen's daughter Ashley, who was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 1991 and became cancer-free after "grueling years of chemotherapy."
